more than I can say

This is a famous song named “More Than I Can Say”, which was popular around the world during the 1980s. The lyrics of this song as an artifact were created by Jerry Allison and Sonny Curtis at the beginning of the 1960s. In fact, its audience should be all the young people who are eager to be loved. Admittedly, both the title and lyrics of this song have rhetorical meanings to some degree. The lyrics clarify a young person’s strong desire for getting accepted by his or her lover. Especially for two sentences of this song, which are “I’ll love you twice as much tomorrow” and “Why must my life be filled with sorrow” are rhetoric to reflect the writer’s belief and sadness for facing love. And then, the author also utilizes pathos as its rhetoric forms when he creates the song, because he attempts to obtain the audience’s support according to emotional way. Actually, to start a relationship with a person who we are loving is very important for many young people. However, if we cannot achieve our wish it is not because of our mistakes but fate most of times. “More than I can say” as the title of the song expresses the author’s attitude about love, as well as his disappointment concurrently. The title is able to catch the audiences’ eyes because it accords with most people’s feelings in pathos when they failed in love. But not only that, another two sentences, which are “Do you mean to make me cry” and “Am I just another guy” also can embody the writer’s sadness about the dreaming lover. This song is an exemplary rhetoric instance during people’s everyday life.
